Job Junior Software Developer

Rite-Solutions, Inc. is currently seeking a Junior Software Developer to support in a full time, hybrid capacity in Middletown, RI.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Collaborate with team to understand, create, and/or modify web applications using technologies such as Java, SQL, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and Python.
• Actively participate in a self-driven Agile Scrum team and all related ceremonies
• Actively involved in all aspects of the software development life cycle from requirements definition and maintenance to testing, troubleshooting, and customer support in addition to software development responsibilities.
• Design and implement feature changes within a team environment, while also working as an individual to complete assigned tasking.

Requirements

• BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technology field.
• Design solutions to customer requests based on established requirements and resolve defects identified during testing phases.
• Comfortable working in a hybrid environment with reliable access to internet connectivity when working remotely. Responsive and responsible communication through technology with remote teammates.
• Develop and maintain interface connections and testing capabilities.
• Able to work and thrive in both individual and team-based development environments.
• Experience with development under Linux-based systems, such as Red Hat Enterprise Linux, CentOS, or Fedora.
• Familiar with Linux shell scripting.
• Troubleshooting / Training content updates and coordination.
• Interfacing with industry partners on legacy content maintenance.
• Participating in external working groups with a lead integrator to help provide and maintain cross-domain links.
• Track schedule of updates for training content and facilitate feedback from many sources.

Skills Of Interest

• Experience with Continuous Integration and Delivery.
• Familiar with common IDE's such as VS Code and Eclipse.
• Familiar with Atlassian suite such as JIRA, BitBucket, Bamboo, and Confluence.
• Experience with production life cycle support.
• Experience with JavaScript, Java, HTML, CSS, and SQL.
• Familiar with object-oriented software development practices.
• Familiar with agile and/or scrum software development life cycle (SDLC) approaches.
• U.S. Citizenship and an active DoD secret security clearance.
